Ski and Snowshoe for FREE January 12!


Start the new year off right! On January 12, 2012, there will be literally hundreds of opportunities across the United States to try your hand at various winter sports for absolutely FREE!  This day is sponsored by a number of national and state parks, the Federal Forest Service, and many private resorts and businesses.  If you've never tried snowshoeing or skiing, this is a great opportunity to try them out this winter. There are also lots of family-friendly opportunities as well! If egg nog and gingerbread cookies are still making you feel sluggish, click on the above link to take to you the Winter Trails Day website.  Once there you'll be able to find an event close to you!  Check it out!

  1. I think this is great! We all five of us love to ski, but I am slowing down on the slopes just a bit at almost 61 ;) I've never snow-shoed, but would like to...thanks for the inspiration !! Many blessings to you!

  2. This sounds awesome! I'm not sure how cold it will be in Maine on the 12th, we have been in the single digits to negatives this past week - but I am hoping to get out with the kids as soon as we are at least back in the teens!
